Use case · Coaching Meetings
For coaches and the people they coach.
Executive coaching, life coaching, sports coaching, recovery coaching. Bonfiyah works for both sides of the conversation — the coach building a track record across clients, the client capturing the homework they'd otherwise forget.

For coaches
The job of a good coach is partly to remember what their clients told them three months ago better than the client does. Bonfiyah's Pro AI gives you the cognitive prosthesis — every prior session's transcript searchable, every commitment tracked, every recurring theme surfaced.
People Memory · Speaker Insights builds a per-client profile across all your sessions: what they care about, how they hedge, their distinctive vocabulary, their typical homework follow-through. Useful for catching breakthroughs (when their language shifts) and stalls (when the same topic keeps recurring).
Pre-Brief (Pro AI) reads your calendar, finds the last session with the client, and 30 minutes before the next session hands you a one-page brief: what they were working on, what they committed to, what's likely to come up. End the "let me find my notes" preamble that eats your billable time.
For clients of coaches
Sessions are intense. You leave with three things you're going to do, and by the next session you remember one. Bonfiyah captures the session — with your coach's consent, of course — so the homework, the framing, the specific thing they said that landed for you, are all recoverable.
Pro AI's Action Items pull out the homework with deadlines. The Pro AI Story Mode recap is the version you re-read the morning before your next session.
Sports and athletic coaching
Coach-to-athlete instructions on the field, in the gym, during ride-along sessions on bike rides — all capture-able. AirPods or a clip-on Bluetooth mic on the coach handles the audio quality challenge of moving environments. Bonfiyah supports any Bluetooth or wired audio input iOS recognizes.
For elite-level coaching where every session has nuanced technique cues, the searchable transcript is a year-end gold mine. "What did Coach say about the second-mile pacing in May?" Search returns the moment.
Confidentiality and consent
Coaching relationships often have explicit confidentiality clauses. Bonfiyah records on-device; audio uploads to our backend only to be transcribed (deleted within 7 days) and syncs to iCloud only if you enable it — a posture that fits most coaching confidentiality models, though you should confirm it meets yours. The consent module logs that both parties agreed to the recording.
For licensed therapists, this is not a HIPAA-covered tool yet. We're working toward a HIPAA-eligible tier; sign up below for updates.
FAQ
How is this different from a voice memo or a plain transcription app?
A voice memo gives you audio; a transcription app gives you text. Bonfiyah is built for the engagement over time. Each client is a Project, so recordings, action items, and Story Mode recaps are scoped to them. People Memory builds a profile across all their sessions, and Pre-Brief hands you a one-page brief 30 minutes before the next session. Speakers are identified by voice, never by what they say, so the right client's patterns track correctly across months.
Do I need Pro AI, or is the free tier enough?
Free records 120 min/month on one device, fully usable, with two-party consent tools included — enough for a light cadence. The features that compound across an engagement (People Memory, Promise Tracker, Pre-Brief, Project Context, Story Mode, Compatibility) are the Pro AI suite: $24.99/mo intro, then $34.99, with a 7-day free trial. Pro ($14.99/mo intro, then $24.99) adds unlimited recording + multi-device iCloud sync without the AI layer.
Is Bonfiyah HIPAA compliant for licensed therapists?
No — this is not a HIPAA-covered tool yet. It fits many coaching confidentiality models: recording happens on-device, audio uploads only to be transcribed and is deleted within 7 days, and syncs to iCloud only if you enable it. Confirm that posture meets your own obligations. If you're a licensed therapist operating under HIPAA, Bonfiyah is not the right tool for protected health information today. We're working toward a HIPAA-eligible tier.
Can I record coaching sessions outdoors or in the gym?
Yes. Coach-to-athlete instruction on the field, in the gym, or on a bike ride is all capture-able. AirPods or a clip-on Bluetooth mic on the coach handles the audio-quality challenge of moving environments — Bonfiyah supports any Bluetooth or wired audio input iOS recognizes. The searchable transcript then lets you find a specific cue months later.
How does Compatibility Analysis work for couples or co-leader coaching?
For couples, family-business, or co-leader work, Compatibility Analysis runs research-grounded frameworks — Attachment Theory, Big Five, Gottman Four Horsemen, Thomas-Kilmann — on the recording, strictly behind explicit two-party consent. Both parties' verbal consent is preserved in the recording itself, so the analysis only runs on conversations everyone agreed to capture.
