Bonfiyah's Advanced Search is built for the way you actually think about your recordings. Type the moment, not the word. The box covers four indexes at once — the things you've recorded, the people who said them, the topics you tagged, and the Pro AI stories that summarize each conversation.

Stories (Pro AI)
Story Mode generates a narrative recap for every recording. Search across the stories themselves — find the meeting where a decision shifted, where a constraint was raised, where someone changed their mind.
Transcripts
Full-text search across every word ever transcribed. Tap a result to jump to that exact moment in the audio. Boolean, phrase, fuzzy match — all of it works.
Speakers
Search by who said it. "Sarah, anything about Q4 budget" returns every Sarah-attributed segment that touches the topic. Speakers are persistent across recordings (Pro), so the search works across years.
Tags
Filter by the tags you've applied — projects, clients, topic areas. Tag-prefixed search (`#acme deadline`) narrows the result set to a single project's recordings.
Semantic + keyword in one box
Type "the meeting where Maya pushed back on the timeline" and Advanced Search uses semantic matching — it finds the moment by intent, even if the exact words were "I'm not sure we can hit that date." Type `"definitely yes"` (with quotes) and it does an exact-phrase match. The box decides which mode to use based on how you typed it.
Pro users get fast keyword, tag, and speaker matching across every dimension. Pro AI adds a stronger semantic backbone. Search is processed under the same no-training commercial backend contract as the rest of Pro AI — your query text is used only to return your results, never to train any model.
Saved searches
Searches you run regularly can be saved as "smart playlists" — they re-run automatically as new recordings come in. Useful for journalists tracking a story, sales reps tracking an account, researchers tracking a theme.

Do I have to remember the exact words I'm searching for?

Advanced Search uses semantic matching — search "the meeting where Maya pushed back on the timeline" and it finds the moment by intent, even if the exact words were "I'm not sure we can hit that date." When you do know the words, wrap them in quotes for an exact-phrase match. The box decides which mode to use based on how you typed it.
How can I search by who said something?
